3,000 years ago, people did not have blood tests, MRIs, ultrasounds, etc… so they needed a way to figure out what was going on inside the body. Why wasn’t the body healing itself?

They discovered that different sections of the radial pulse (artery) on the wrists correspond to different organ systems in the body. Since blood flows in the arteries, they found they could detect circulation to all the organ systems and determine which were functioning at sub-optimal levels.

Those organ systems were usually the culprit (the “root cause”) of why the body had stopped healing itself. Therefore, if we are able to restore the function of those organ systems, the body can return to healing itself — just as it was designed to do.

There are many pulse-taking methods, but the method we use at Achieve Health in Retford is called Restorative Pulse Diagnosis™ (RPD™). It was developed by our founder, Malik Khan, and is completely different from the pulse methods taught in TCM schools around the world. Malik integrated modern medical understanding with 3,000 years of traditional knowledge — in essence combining the best of both worlds.

After palpating thousands of pulses and refining this system clinically, Malik developed a method that connects Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern medical methodology. He validated his RPD™ system against blood tests and diagnostic scans, proving that Restorative Pulse Diagnosis™ can accurately detect sub-optimal functioning organ systems.
