Recover Your Vision Naturally with Acupuncture (Part 1)

For over 3000 years, acupuncture has been used worldwide to help people recover their diminished vision.  It’s remarkable how vision could begin to be restored in 2 weeks or less.  You’re probably thinking, “how can small acupuncture needles restore my vision, it just doesn’t make sense?  Let me go ask my doctor about acupuncture and see what they say.”  Some will tell you it’s not their expertise and don’t know if it works or not.  Some will tell you it’s worth a try, because there’s no medical treatment currently that can help restore your vision and as long as acupuncture won’t make your vision worse, you’ve got nothing to lose.  Other doctors might tell you, acupuncture doesn’t work, and there’s no clinical trials published here in the US to prove that acupuncture can help restore your vision.  Pretty confusing, right? Are you thinking, who should I listen to?

Do you remember back in the 1930s to 1950s, cigarette smoking was proven to being safe and did not cause lung damage?  In fact, doctors were promoting smoking on billboards and in medical journals.  The New England Journal of Medicine was filled with smoking ads and there was various scientific research showing cigarette smoking was safe.  How many of us started smoking because of it?  Wasn’t the FDA, the American Medical Association, American Heart Association, etc supposed to protect us from false and misleading advertising and tainted research?  This article is not about anti-government or anti-medicine, it’s about letting you know that current research is not always accurate, and often times can be conflicting depending on who funds the research.  Time is the best test.

Acupuncture has been proven, for over 3000 years, to help people restore some lost vision. It has withstood the ‘Test of Time’.  So why hasn’t more research been done on acupuncture, right?  Again you have to look at the purpose of research and who is funding most of the research today.  Much of the research done today is focused on ‘giving men fish, instead of teaching them to fish’.  I’m sure you’ve all heard this saying ‘Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime’.  The question to ask yourself is, do medications, injections, surgery, or supplements teach your body to heal your eyes? Or do they just feed your eyes for one day?  Is in the interest of Big Pharma to cure your eyes or to give you a pill to manage your vision?  There’s no right or wrong answer here.   No one is going to care more about your visions than you. After all it’s your eyeballs and your vision, not your doctor’s and not Big Pharma’s.

In my next article, I will discuss the various treatment options for restoring your vision.
